Coonoor, at an altitude of 1839 metres, is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiris. It is on the toy-train line between Mettupalayam (28 km) and 19 kms from Ooty. Once a quaint small town, new constructions has made it a crowded place but there are severeal places where one can relax and enjoy nature. There are several homestays that offer a unique experience and excellent cuisine.
