Daily photos 3rd year

At the Daily Gallery one picture, preferably taken that day; is shared with others. While that is difficult to follow (shooting everyday) I have been putting up a picture everyday and this is my THIRD year. It's been an enjoyable time viewing pictures of other members and learning new techniques and customs from different places. I think this is the best way to travel to places while sitting at home, and also making friends on the way! It has been a pleasure sharing my pictures and I thank all of you for taking the time to comment on my pictures. Earlier galleries: First year - Second year - Critiques welcome!

Wai-O-Tapu means Sacred Waters. It was a perfect day when visited the thermal grounds at Wai-O-Tapu, New Zealand. Blue skies with dramatic clouds and light just perfect...
The water body has picked up the colour from sulphur (sulfur). No major PP except for a bit of light adjustment and sharpening.

Gateway of India
from Taj Mahal Hotel
Leica D-Lux 5
The Gateway of India was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Bombay in December 1911. Its design is a combination of both Hindu and Muslim architectural styles, the arch is in Muslim style while the decorations are in Hindu style. The Gateway is built from yellow basalt and reinforced concrete. The Gateway was opened on 4 December 1924, by the Viceroy, the Earl of Reading. The last British troops to leave India, the First Battalion of the Somerset Light Infantry, passed through the Gateway in a ceremony on 28 February 1948
@Art, Interesting observation Art! It was decided to built the gateway in 1911 but took time to construct it.
