Daily photos 3rd year

At the Daily Gallery one picture, preferably taken that day; is shared with others. While that is difficult to follow (shooting everyday) I have been putting up a picture everyday and this is my THIRD year. It's been an enjoyable time viewing pictures of other members and learning new techniques and customs from different places. I think this is the best way to travel to places while sitting at home, and also making friends on the way! Chor Bazar<br /> BEST SEEN IN LARGE SIZE<br /> <br /> Chor Bazaar, located near Bhendi Bazaar in South Mumbai, is one of the largest flea markets in India. The word Chor means "thief" in Hindi-Urdu. The reason it is known as "thief's market", is because it assumed that goods sold there are stolen. There's a saying about this area, if you lose anything in Mumbai you can buy it back from the "chor bazaar"! Strike! Chor Bazar

Chor Bazaar, located near Bhendi Bazaar in South Mumbai, is one of the largest flea markets in India. The word Chor means "thief" in Hindi-Urdu. The reason it is known as "thief's market", is because it assumed that goods sold there are stolen. There's a saying about this area, if you lose anything in Mumbai you can buy it back from the "chor bazaar"! Most of proper shops are closed on Friday as this area is in the heartland of one of the largest Muslim populations in Mumbai.

Chor Bazar is a maze of streets with shops that look like musty attics and sell just about anything at bargain prices from old ship parts, grandfather clocks, gramophones, to crystal chandeliers and old English tea sets antiques at throwaway prices, including colonial-era lamps, Art Deco clocks and trinkets of every kind. Chor Bazar<br /> <br /> BEST SEEN IN LARGE SIZE<br /> <br /> This is not for personal consumption - obviously! :-)) Must belong to a family that sells garlic and the boys, at their own pace; must be helping the ladies. While its true that they should be studying, and child labour should not be allowed, a lot of other issues are at stake too. Sometimes the facilities are not adequate or more so, the poor families require whatever help they can get and when it's free from other family members, all the better.
