At the Daily Gallery one picture, preferably taken that day; is shared with others. While that is difficult to follow (shooting everyday) I have been putting up a picture everyday and this is my third year. It's been an enjoyable three years viewing pictures of other members and learning new techniques and customs from different places. I think this is the best way to travel to places while sitting at home, and also making friends on the way! It has been a pleasure sharing my pictures and I thank all of you for taking the time to comment on my pictures.

Ghoonghat or Ghunghat, also known as jhund is a Hindi word which describes a veil or headscarf worn by South Asian women to cover their head, and often their face. Generally a pallu (the loose end of a sari) is pulled over the head to act as a ghunghat. A dupatta (long scarf) is also sometimes used as a ghungat. In very traditional and rural areas, women use their sari to completely cover the face and neck, concealing their identity to males.

Pamukkale, meaning "cotton castle" in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey. The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. Pamukkale is a tourist attraction. It is recognized as a World Heritage Site together with Hierapolis. Pamukkale's terraces are made of travertine, a sedimentary rock deposited by water from the hot springs. There are 17 hot water springs and the water that emerges from the spring is transported 320 metres to the head of the travertine terraces. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamukkale
